Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?


It hasn't been so easy, shifting from

Our college days, our ev'ry hour together,

And sharing all our thoughts; to then become

A lone alumnus, sister without brother

-

Like Wordsworth, stranded in a city German,

I was adrift, in hostile land, alone.

Beset by doubts and worries, storms and vermin,

I soothed my mind with thoughts of our old home.

-

We made so many mem'ries in those days--

Made movies, skipped our classes, fought pun wars,

And talked for hours. But there's no gold that stays--

The joys of youth gave way to grown-up chores.

-

So bittersweet, my feelings at that instant:

The closest friends I loved became so distant!
