Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?


There's no one else who's helped me know my self,

My heart, without dissembling or disguise.

You showed me how; I put fears on the shelf,

And viewed myself with sympathetic eyes.

That was a boon beyond all former gifts!

I'd never guessed that I'd had any worth--

I, but a dead leaf; you, the wind that lifts;

I gazed with new perspective o'er the earth.

-

But then we graduated and moved on,

A thousand miles' distance; then, still more!

We seldom spoke; I feared you had withdrawn.

Oh, how I longed to find you at my door.

-

And here we are at last! The twain have met.

Now starts the sweetest, closest era yet.
