Hearts' Mending (1)
Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?
I'd like to call and ask if you'd stop by.
It's been too long! We really should catch up,
But ev'ry time we visit, I get shy;
I'd like to change that. Come, and fill a cup.
-
Whenever we're together, it's the same:
It seems no time has passed. Our friendship's fresh
As ever, and I think it's quite a shame
That decades lie between, for we just mesh.
-
Such friendships as our own are hard to find.
I've traveled far and wide, throughout the land,
With hopes I'd find one more such in my mind--
Without success. Not one. Dear, take my hand.
-
If I may love you, and you'll love me back,
I'll be content; my heart shall feel no lack.
Prequels
No prequels yet. Why not write one?
