Tamori Taka: The brilliance and splendour of a journey shared
I have been HS Wift for the longest time now, through some of the darkest hours I have known, and it warms my heart to know that the light that led me through lives on still.
May it never die.
The journey was brilliant. They left a week early so Taka could offer Tamori Fakura her help in preparing the fireworks display. Taka had to teach Keshintai the basics of riding, and at first, she struggled, but eventually she got the hang of it and was able to keep pace with Taka.
The two enjoyed a lovely, peaceful ride, taking in the beautiful sights of the Dragon Mountains. As the sun reached its zenith, the pair stopped to rest and water the horses, and enjoyed a nice meal, what modern English speakers might call a picnic, that Taka had prepared.
As the day drew to a close, the two friends found themselves in familiar territory. Figuring themselves little more than a mile from the village, Keshintai proposed a race. Taka spurred her steed to a gallop, and soon left Keshintai far behind. Thinking to go ahead and arrange some tea, Taka concluded the race and set to stabling her horse.
Though when she reached the stables, she encountered a handful of her old tormentors.
Each brandishing a taming whip.
