Burning Questions: The story isn't over yet!
This is "slapdashmonuments" creating a new Ficlatte account for the purpose of trying to write some Choose Your Own Adventure stories using Ficlatte's sequeling features. I'll tag work-in-progress parts WIP until the whole story is ready to play.

Despite it all, she's a human being. It's not for you to judge her. You're furious, but still...you refuse to leave her.
So you both rush, as best you can, down towards that plate glass window. It's incredibly hard, but you manage to grab both the welcome mat from the Language Center, and the damned heavy extinguisher. You plop the wicked teacher down on the floor by the stairwell and move to the window.
A few bashes and the glass explodes outwards, a large fragment barely missing your shoulder. The lower frame of the window is jagged, but you place the heavy mat over the shards and hope that it'll protect you.
Now it's time to grab Ms. Brett and get the hell out.
