Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?


I seized my single chance ere it could flee,

Amazed I'd been accepted. And before

A year had passed, as hasty as could be,

I fled my homeland, fam'ly, failures, more...

I was convinced that all the blessed roots

That tied me to my happy past had rotted;

No one would miss me. Better grow new shoots

Within a newer garden, freshly plotted,

-

Than bottle up morosity and stew,

Regrets and longing poisoning each other.

Replanted, I still wished I could renew

Those bonds; you'd been my sister and my brother...

-

Escape is never final, for, I find,

One can't outrun one's feelings, heart, or mind.
