Tamori Taka: Success on the eve of the subsequent year
I have been HS Wift for the longest time now, through some of the darkest hours I have known, and it warms my heart to know that the light that led me through lives on still.
May it never die.
The festival was a great success. Exchanges of gifts were made between the Samurai families. As the bells rang they all sat and ate toshikoshi together. In the evening, Taka excused herself to prepare her fireworks for that night's display.
The display was a rousing success, showers of green and gold throughout, the colours of the Dragon Clan, accentuated with reds and blues and purples. She finished with two long streaking white fireworks, designed to veer slightly, forming the mountain present on her family's mon.
Upon conclusion, she returned to her family, where her parents and siblings offered proud, heartfelt congratulations. Her teacher, Fakura, began his display, and expert demonstration of his mastery of the art, filling Taka with aspiration. One day, she would be that skilled a pyrotechnician.
After the fireworks, the new year came about, and the village lit lanterns, which filled the sky with their beauty. And everyone was a year older.
