Bold, 24 point, All Caps

HS Wift

I have been HS Wift for the longest time now, through some of the darkest hours I have known, and it warms my heart to know that the light that led me through lives on still.

May it never die.

I often ruminate on the nature of discourse.

In the current era of soap boxes and echo chambers, everyone has something to say, and the audacity to say it loudly. The boldness to assume they're worth listening to. Spewing hate and vitriol against the 'other' and asserting the supriority of those who happen to look like them. It is often easy to assume that because a person is saying something that you happen to agree with, that they have contributed in a positive way. That they have given the best form of the argument.

Sometimes, it simply doesn't need to be said. We don't always have to respond to our critics, or express our disdain for our detractors. Sometimes it is better to simply pay them no heed. To leave the conversation, and never worry that you had in some way given them what they wanted.

Here I am, assuming, my opinions matter. It is bold of me to assume that my words are worth reading.

Thank you for reading them anyway.
