I've never wished to act on those cruel notions

That cross my mind at times, but I've felt anger,

'Cos I've been hurt and suffered vile emotions.

At these times, wrong decisions lead to danger.

I have responsibilities. I can't ignore them,

Unless some new agreement can be reached.

My wife and kids need me; I'll be there for them,

But still, that wall, divorce, must now be breached.

But now, she's told me clearly she can't face it,

Before I was prepared to thus request.

I've heard her. But in time, she might erase it;

She spoke that word. Now comes the toughest test.
