Close Call

PrincessLapis

I like writing, but I'm not sure if I'm really any good at it yet.

The cyan girl struggled to no avail. "Please don't, I didn't do anything to you!"

"I told you it's not personal." She raised her scythe into the air to strike, before being blasted off by lilac energy.

The cyan girl immediately scrambled to another rooftop, eager to put some distance between herself and that thing. "Thanks for the save!" she called to the lilac girl.

"Of course!"

The attacker got up again. "Mm, good to know there's two of you here." She seemed a little more irritated now than gleeful.

"Run!" She blasted the thing with energy again.

The cyan girl nodded and bolted across the rooftops, and down into an alley. She dismissed her transformation and took several turns, pausing to hide and catch her breath.

"Why do you all run!?" she heard the attacker saying, searching for her from the rooftops. She pressed herself further against the wall.

She jumped down for a better look, and sighed when her prey was definitely lost. "I was this close."

The cyan girl peeked to check she was gone.

"Hey."
