Three Word Prompt: A Search for Meaning
Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?
I will figure it out. I'm applying my best thoughts to it every day.
It happened three days ago. By the end of the week, I'll have it.
I need to take this opportunity to set my thoughts down now, while the house is quiet and the cicadas are thrumming their soothing tones. In the morning I can look this through and see what it is I've written, and analyze it for patterns, for themes. There has to be a meaning!
First, there was the door. It hadn't been there the previous evening, when Larry, Tet, and I broke in. There had not been a door at all, which is why we came through the window.
Next, there was the cow. What it was doing there, I am not sure, but I was sure that the cake we'd baked the previous night was not to be used to feed her. And yet, there she was, standing on the roof, leaning in through the dormer window and biting into the mango satin sheen sheet cake. It was all we could manage with the stuff found in the kitchen.
Then there was that canteen and Tet's subsequent death.

Everything I've read by you today is gaining mass or momentum. There is a connection but the more I look into the abyss, the more I feel myself being drawn in. Have you ever read the Illuminatus Trilogy. It's been a while for me but my memory of it and you're still beating work share similarities.
