Hopes and Dreams

"You can do it!" Maggie screamed with feline enthusiasm. The others lined up behind me as I faced the door and the challenge ahead.

"What if I fail?" I asked, looking back. "What if I let all of you down?"

"We believe in you!" Pod cheered.

Chirell adjusted her glasses. "You've got nothing to worry about."

"Yeah! And if they try anything, we've got your back!" came Gyp's promise.

"Remember how decisive you've been before. It is the same now. You've only grown stronger since you've begun." Pinalimu's voice carried the smile of pride hidden behind her mask.

"You've never given up before." Shadow whispered from the corner.

My eyes roved the diverse group. I could do this, especially with all the friends I made along the way supporting me. Briefly, I recalled each conversation, confrontation, compassion, and cooperation. It brought a sure smile to my face. With them, I could overcome this fateful encounter ahead, once and for all.

With no further hesitation I pushed through head on, devoid of doubt.
