Early Retirement

After browsing for almost twenty minutes, the customer looked ready to leave. Eric put the phone down, and walked over. "Sorry, sir," he said. "Can I help you find anything?"

"I don't think so." The man looked around one last time. "This establishment doesn't seem to have what I'm after. Too new."

Eric smiled. "Ah, more into the older, rarer books, I take it?" Finally, he thought. Someone who may have actual mystical knowledge.

"You have more?" The tone in his voice showed interest.

"I do!" He tried not to sound too excited. "We have occult books going back to..."

"I'm looking for 'Writings of the Badari Gods'. I was told you may have them."

Eric couldn't help but look a little startled. "You must have been speaking to James. He's the only other one who knows I have those. I'll warn you, though, that they're not cheap."

"That is not a problem." The stranger grinned. Something about it made Eric uncomfortable, but he shrugged it off.

I may retire early! he thought. And I don't mean to bed.

Trust your gut instincts. They exist for a reason!

That said, I'm interested in the title of this book. Does it imply writings about the Badari gods or that the gods themselves actually set some things down in writing?
