Past, Present, and Future Me

"I got your message loud and clear."

"What message was that?"

"I keep clinging to the past. I keep thinking about a time when I was what you needed. But I can't move on and join you in the future if I keep looking back."

"I never said any of that."

"Not with words..."

"Then..."

"Then after I sulked about having to let go of this notion that the Past Me was who I wanted to be, I saw that I could become someone else whom you might need. You don't need Old me, you need New me."

"Sure."

"Progress!"

"If you say so."

"I say so."

"You feel better?"

"Yup."

"Are you sure?"

"Nope."

"Glad I could be of... NOPE? Why not?"

"Well, what if I get sucked back into the past?"

"The past five minutes??"

"No, the Past me."

"Listen, I've changed, you've changed, and we are just going to have to go with it. Deal?"

"Well, shove me into the Future Me, why don't ya?"

"Yes. Go. The Future You thanks you."

"Fine. I'm Future Me."

"Which is now. So you're you. Be yourself."
