Red Eyes
“Let me guess, you want out?” Deion leaned back in his torn up office chair. Now the strobing headlights of passing cars caught his face. They were on the second level of the warehouse but the freeway on-ramp put the cars at their level. “Pigs pick you up once and you start to feel guilt and doubt creeping.”
“Are you playing? I made two-thousand dollars last week. That means food for my daughter and medicine for my momma. You know what I made when I worked at the Ramada? A thousand a month.” Lamar plucked the front of his three hundred dollar Warrior's jersey. “I ain't looking to go back to that. No, what I want to know is what happened to J.J.”
“You heard he got cut up?”
Lamar nodded.
"It was pretty fucking bad. His body was dis-fucking-membered and left to the dogs. No one seems to know shit." Deion 's eye twitched. "There's a new player out there. A goddamn psychopath. Fucking up business for every nigga with a dream."
"I want to check this out."
"On your own time."
"On my own time." Lamar agreed.

Although, yes I agree to the first part. That's why I love Rorschach in Watchman so much.

A psychopath with a justice complex goes after people he thinks are thugs; makes for some badass writing and action, oh and also gore. Is that what you were going for? Or maybe these guys aren't so bad and the guy is just psycho?
