Pity and Purge
Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?
It's largely a shame
That the ones who have what is needed
Just don't like to share.
-
Those who have the needs, on the other hand,
Cannot receive, though they often,
Out of compassion, do give what they can.
-
There is no shame to be found
Nor no pity either
When you get to the higher levels
-
So at least we can say
The poor are richer in spirit
In compassion in love and human quality
They love human equality
-
Together perhaps
We the poor might be
Equal to them
-
Do the math
Tread the path
The swamp is overflowing
The taint is corroding flint and blood
-
I think it's time for cleaning
-
What are you worried about,
Dung Treacle?
It's a minor revision
-
one tenth of one percent
-
and we will never miss you
