What is awesome?
I went a little Kong, and they put me in the zoo. But now I'm back cause there was more for me to do.
In the days of the league of awesomeness when we had over 9000 members, we followed some simple guidelines. These were kind of the standards for awesomeness.
1. You should have four times as many comments as stories. Even though some people, like the famed Elsha Hawk, despite having 400 plus stories, had twenty times as many comments.
2. If someone takes the time to read your work and comment, immediately friend them and comment on one of theirs. Knowing that someone read your work and took the time to acknowledge it (good or bad) is what makes this site work. I have rolled over in the middle of the night and couldn't help but tap the pc to see if anyone had read my latest story, knowing I had to work in two hours.
3. Spread the good news. If this site is going to be anything other than a ghost town where we regale of our lost ficlet glory we are going to need to inject new life and blood into it. Tell everyone ficly died, but ficlatte has risen.

Thank you for the nice comments on my work. It's good to see you again too. Sorry for the late reply, I was sick (one of those colds that just wipes you out completely for a week). I feel like I owe you a dozen comments (this one doesn't count, since this is more a message than anything else) but it might be a minute. I was never a member of the LoA but I was aware of it and benefited from the work of its members. I could never quite match the relentless commenting of Elsha, THX, and MH but I tried to recruit other writers whenever I could. Looking forward to the future of ficlatte and cheers!
