Sick Day
A long-lost ficleteer trying to take a shot at writing once again.
Tea with honey and lemon
A steaming bowl of chicken noodle soup
A cough as I choke down some cold syrup
A warm blanket with an equally warm cat atop it
The remote's within reach
An excuse to be lazy and watch tv
You know, being sick is kind of nice
Besides the feeling crappy part
It's like a vacation from life
A forced vacation, but still
I need a break from life
So, I'm going to snuggle up under this blanket
It's almost time for my NyQuil
And then it's off to dream land
Back to reality tomorrow
But that's another day
Today I'll enjoy my sick day

Sleep is good. But I feel like you, that I am missing so much and nothing is getting DONE and no one can do it but me. Work can wait.
