Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?


When you departed, love, you'd been afflicted

And mute so long. My strength and hope had flagged.

I felt myself alone, exhausted, ragged,

But then there came a blessing unpredicted.

-

I'd thought my love was dying, nearly gone,

And never to return, once you had fled.

How little did I know! Love's never dead;

Its warm embrace binds all, though time speeds on

-

And of a sudden, friendly hands reached out,

Supporting and reviving palsied heart.

They cared, to my surprise! Peace displaced doubt.

I learned two things: that love is everywhere,


And, to partake in love can be an art.


So now, my June, I'm blest to be aware...
