Emmyful is Back in Town
A long-lost ficleteer trying to take a shot at writing once again.
Adulthood is a series of ups and downs, or so I've been told. But what I wasn't told is how difficult the transition into this new stage of life can be. Dealing with the pressures of a full time job, a full graduate school schedule, and a sick parent has me feeling more than just a tad overwhelmed. So, I thought to myself last night as I was falling asleep, What can I do to cope?
A return to writing instantly popped into my mind, along with a slew of doubts that I can do it. Well, whether I can do it or not, here I am. Emmyful is back in town! I know many of you do not know me, but hopefully some of you do (Elsha Hawk, are you still around?).
So, this is it. I'm returning to writing! I look forward to taking this journey once again.

Welcome (back). It's a pleasure to have you here. I truly hope that writing can help you to cope with the challenges that adult life throws at you. I'd love to say that it gets easier, but that would just be a lie. It gets different, and you look back from time to time and wonder at what you have managed.
