Reinstalling my System (2/9)

slapdashmonuments

Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?

But, as per norm, a glitch appeared

I shouldn't love them all!

Perhaps a virus tossed its rope

To scale my firewall.

So I have had to wipe my drive.

Yes, all my saves and downloads

I sacrificed for sake of health;

I've wandere'd up and down roads

To find some way to purge and scour

Evicting rootkits, bugs,

Change endless loops t0 stable code--

Refrain from meds and drugs

And find some inner peace at last

Bad memories all flushed,

All hurt resentment from my mind,

And every friend-crush, crushed.

The manufacturer decreed

There's only one connection

Allowed twixt user and OS;

All others cause infection

And this installment does the trick--

It brings a lucid mind

With just the basic software,

Pre-installed and well defined--

Quick and efficient, bland, but still

Accepted world-wide

There's just enough of hard drive space

To fit that suite inside.
