HS Wift

I have been HS Wift for the longest time now, through some of the darkest hours I have known, and it warms my heart to know that the light that led me through lives on still.

May it never die.

She's incredible, he thought, she's amazing, self-sacrificing, an incredibly kind person.

He's wonderful, she thought, he's so funny, carefree, a really great guy.

"Hey, it's been a while," he said, "How are you?"

"Pretty good," she said, "and yourself?"

His eyes are incredible, she thought, and I like his style.

Her hair is awesome, he thought, she's goreous.

"Alright, yeah," he said, "not much going on."

"Yeah, I wish I had that," she said, "I've got so any meetings tomorrow."

I think she likes me, he thought, But how can I be certain?

I really like him, she thought, And I think he likes me back.

"I don't envy you that," he said, "See you at the movie on Friday?"

"Yeah, see you then," she said, "Should be good."

Maybe I'm wrong, she thought, maybe I misread the signs.

How could she like me? he thought, She's out of my league.

"Goodbye." he said.

"Goodbye." she said.

The suspense is electrifying in this piece. You can feel the potential for it all to fail. Yet, seeing both sides at once, you hope for success.

Nicely delivered.

I got as far as "potential train wreck" and no further. Gosh, I'm too young to be this cynical.

I can't read people's nonverbal language and I have no idea if this has happened in any situation I've been in where I've really liked someone. I'm always too scared to stick my neck out and risk losing any potential friendship...because in truth, I have let it out before, and had my heart handed back to me, scallopini style.
