Tamori Taka: The joy and freedom of riding the Wind
I have been HS Wift for the longest time now, through some of the darkest hours I have known, and it warms my heart to know that the light that led me through lives on still.
May it never die.
Keneya led Taka to an empty field and bade her wait. She was gone at least twenty minutes before returning with a horse in tow. No ordinary steed, however, but an Utaku warhorse, bred and trained by the greatest Unicorn horsemasters.
"Child, when I am sad, I find comfort in the freedom that can only be experienced on horeseback. I offer to teach you to ride, such that you may find equal solace."
They spent that day riding, Taka serving merely as passenger at first while Keneya taught Taka how to control the horse, but eventually Keneya trusted the girl enough to ride solo. For the first time since Keshintai's parting, Taka allowed her burdens and her grief to slip from her shoulders. Out there in the field, nothing but the wind in her hair, and strong Kaze to support her.
Keneya enjoyed the look of delight brightening the young girl's face. The children before had assailed Taka for her appearance, but to see the young girl ride, hair streaming out behind her, those same features were undeniably beautiful.
