Legend of Tory Adore 13: They All Knew He was Tough
Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?
Kendreth Leary, manager of the targeted bank, had never trusted Tory or Constantine, even when they were a newly shacked up couple of fifteen months old. Something always seemed odd about the two of them. Maybe it was the flinty scruff on Con's chin, or the cannon wound on Tory's supple hip, slow to heal but quick to whistle in the wind. Maybe it was their conjugal rattle.
Leary gazed down Fentriss's main street, Legend to Be Announced Drive, as the two gave each other a fistbump and went their separate ways, both in the same direction. New Jersey was never the same after they had arriven here, he thought to himself. Then he thought to his wife, Don't you think?
Greer Leary gave him a startled glance, and then took it back and extended a loving simper instead. Yes, I do, she returned, their ESP still strong even after twenty years of marriage, reduced due to good behavior. Something's off about those two. I feel it in my bone.
"What in the tar are they up to, Edith?" Leary shouted in a hiss. "What?"

Thank you very much, I'm sure. I figure the characters will let me know what's really going on...eventually...

Quite interesting. Despite the fact that I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Which is quite an accomplishment.
