Now I Truly See
When all other allies
Abandon my cause
I practice my howling
And sharpen my claws
With tears hidden closely
Behind shadowed doors
I plan perfect revenge
And haunt distant shores
What lying companions
That called themselves friends
All face hidden from me
To gain their own ends
You've killed what was loyal
Your fight has gone wrong
To tempt me with hatred
While singing your song
At last what is truthful
Now echoes aloud
Your friendship amiss
As solid as cloud

Intriguing. Really makes me wonder about the situation behind the feelings.

The mood here is interesting. It could be contemptuous yet also matter of fact. Still, it has a sad finality to it. The rhyme and flow are lovely

The meter on those first lines were wonderful.
