Just Another Escapist
I do believe the time for hope has passed
Desire she may to hear its lost refrain
Our friendship like the clouds is overcast
Abandoned love can only end in rain
Consider now the change that time revealed
No outcome of our battle left to chance
Deep wounds kept hidden underneath the shield
Which broke against the splint'ring of the lance
Authentic-borne ambition to renew
The long abandoned kinship that was ours
May be her picturesque horizon view
While under me impassive chasms glower
My arrow fired words will ever miss
All falling silent in our dark abyss
