The first officer and a handful of the crew looked up at our approach, but I briefly slowed at the mention of a familiar name nearby.

"... tight ship on board the Decisive, that's for sure. Commodore aul Cantor-Sobel fought in the last war, you know that? Took command of a frigate of..."

Ryle looked back, not concerned yet but attentive to what I had or hadn't heard, and I shook my head minutely before hurrying to catch up.

"Gentlemen. We're ready to depart, if you have concluded your business."

"Yes, sir. Thank you for being so considerate."

"Not at all, but if you could board as soon as possible? The captain is anxious to keep to the schedule."

I nodded meekly at him and led Ryle back on board, the latter surreptitiously releasing his grip on the concealed knife in his newly-purchased coat pocket.

For the sake of my personal notes: Josef-Maser aul Cantor-Sobel was planned to make an appearance in future Airships titles as the new Minister for Foreign Relations, adopting a pro-war stance alongside Hawkeye's brother Dieter.
