The Season for Replanting
Inspiration hits with a flash, stories written on the go. A rumble of laughter and the tale is heard only in echoes. The wind blows me in a new direction. Whom shall I visit next?
It's amazing how the seasons seem to cycle through my life.
For a moment there is comfort, and a second later, strife.
There is warmth, and then I'm frozen; rain is followed by a drought.
Briefly I contain my feelings, till they blow the ceiling out.
First I'm bored, and then I panic! Monday sorrow; Tuesday joy.
I spend Wednesday with equipment, and my Thursday with a toy.
Nothing seems to last but flowers. Oh, I know they come and go,
But they always blossom once again. Dependable, they grow
In my heart's internal garden; petals fall to feed the next.
Rootlets drill forever deeper, seeking out the hidden text.
Like those blooms that cheer our senses, let us show our colors bright!
One day soon, we'll reach the bottom. Let's dig deep to reach the light!
Yes, it's time to sink our feelings deep into the fulsome earth.
Life uprooted us, companions, for a larger plot's rebirth.
Let us flourish at Ficlatte, our new shelter filled with mirth!

Thanks! I'm glad to see you here, too. There's a nice sense of continuity here already. I don't know if the people here are just the Ficly Famous crowd, or if by chance I happen to have followed the same group who decided to switch over. I don't consider myself so very prolific at Ficly, but I still feel as if my old pals are here like in the old days. :D

Pleasingly floral but not too flowery bit of verse, in the romantic style.
And nice to be considered famous (but isn't everyone on Ficlylatte?)

This was adorable with its steady rhythm and rhyme. Glad to see you transferred to the new site. :)
